Apologies for my last two movies. Now, I'll add something legitimate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seibu_Keisatsu I've been hoping that we would add this show for a while because of all the cool old Japanese police cars used in it, but we never have, so I've decided to upload what I could myself. I'm not sure of the episode numbers, as these are just random clips, but I will upload more very soon, as I have the whole summer, but at least the page has started now. antp, Ford_Guy, feel free to comment or reprimand me about the pictures, etc. I'm open to criticism. Thank you!! |

And the reason for almost all cars being Nissans is because the show was sponsored by them. |

Independent film projects would be legitimate if they have a genuine release (not youtube). David Lynch started primitive too: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060984/ |

Thanks. Maybe someday I could be like Lynch..... |

Well...perhaps Ill be more of a Tarantino guy...but without the strange conduct. |

I'm glad to see somebody is doing "Seibu Keisatsu." Unfortunately, the video screencaps/pictures aren't very good quality. Where are you getting the video? I don't think the show has been released on DVD, so I assume you're using video from YouTube. I have been watching episodes posted by YouTube users KITT1978DDS and kazuki536PART2. You can find their videos here: http://www.youtube.com/user/KITT1978DDS#g/u and here: http://www.youtube.com/user/kazuki536PART2#g/u If you do use YouTube videos to make caps/images, be sure to use the highest resolution possible. Make sure that it's at least 480p. Your default settings may play the video at 240p or 360p, so be sure to check before you play the video. Also, I found this website: http://members.jcom.home.ne.jp/dandy-arata4/ It has a lot of information on the cars used in many episodes of the show. |

Right. I'll do that. I've been using keepvid.com to capture the MP3 files and quicktime HD to get stills into JPEG format. Unfortunatley, most of the vids that U've come across are from VHS, so the quality if questionable to begin with, but I'll check out your links, too. Thank you very much!!! |

I think they destroyed one thousand Nissans! |

police car fan, thank you SO much for uploading new pics, BUT!!!! SOme of them are actually from "Daitokai", the EARLIER series that evolved into Seibu Keisatsu, from 1976-78. Maybe a separate page is in order. |

Sounds good to me, but there are also some other points i wanna say: This pics are from youtube, and the makers of the movies on youtube are (ofcourse) Japanese, and what is annoying is that they give the title of the movies in Japanese, so i don't understand what the title is, and unfortunally the quallity of these is not HD and other movies have commercials from the user on it; www.gomplayer.jp Still, i'll try to get more cars. -- Last edit: 2013-08-13 05:27:17 |

"I don't like wind on my collarbone." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=td5u4gW0g54#t=20m20s I could listen to Lynch all day. |
◊ 2013-08-13 02:59 |
I don't know if this is reliable enough when the vehicle role can't be determined, or even where the captures belong exactly. |
◊ 2013-08-13 18:12 |
Listing cars from series without episode numbers is rather useless. If the titles are in Japanese there must be a way to find the matching episode (either by searching, or by asking to Kegare) |
◊ 2013-08-13 20:12 |
Indeed, i think it's better for someone that knows Japanese then someone who doesn't know a single word. |

Western Police station as Harry Anderson mentioned back in "Prime Time in Japan" that was produced in PBS in the late 1980's that I have been searching for |

Kegare, could you help us out here? -- Last edit: 2013-08-15 15:56:52 |

Sure, here are the episode names: https://www.ishihara-pro.jp/seibu_list_01.html https://www.ishihara-pro.jp/seibu_list_02.html https://www.ishihara-pro.jp/seibu_list_03.html But I do not think I can be of much help. I cannot know which car belongs to which episode. -- Last edit: 2013-08-15 16:29:40 |

That's fine, all Police Car Fan needs to do now is post link to the Youtube videos of the episodes he took the captures from. After you've seen the episode titles, you can then give us the numbers. Providing he knows which videos he took the captures, Police Car Fan can then tell what was in what episode. |

Now that is some work.... |
◊ 2013-08-28 21:43 |
How much longer is this going to sit on the New Contributions list? Come on, Police Car Fan.... |
◊ 2013-09-02 01:30 |
I've downloaded most of the series today onto my hard drive. I'm going to upload the cars of each episode, as well as close-ups, interesting trivia for the comments section, and I'll throw in some Japanese lighting for rjluna2 as well. Sorry it took me so long to find it. The quality of the images isn't HD exactly, but it is as best quality as I can get right now. the series still isnt available on DVD to ship to me in America, so this will have to do for now. police car fan, I'd appreciate any additional help I can get. |

Hi Q-Ball, Thanks. I think I still have the VHS tape that I recorded more than 20 years ago at WTTW TV station containing open credit of one of this show which was made at Primetime/Japan. Now, all I need to find the tape somewhere in the mess |

I'm uploading the cars episode by episode "en masse" Admin, please excuse the multiple cars. This show used the same model cars for nearly everything. We will literally be swimming in 230/330/430 Nissans in a little while. Once I/we determine the different years and trim levels of each one, I will regroup them accordingly to save space. So far so good. Excuse my black borders. |
◊ 2013-09-02 15:51 |
OK for regrouping after identifications, but the black borders should be removed before validation... |
◊ 2013-09-06 17:41 |
Okay, I've been uploading vehicles one-by-one from each episode. I started mid-show, but now I'm going from season 1 and onwards. Black borders are no more, and I'm using OS X Preview to make a clear quality for each image. Some of the pictures, (The Gazelle, and the 4-star nissans) will have to be re-uploaded because I have pictures of much better quality for them now. Again, this is a slower process than most, but I'm moving as fast as possible. police car fan, I have a link for where you can get the entire shows run. |
◊ 2013-09-07 14:37 |
If a picture of an existing vehicle has to be replaced, simply post the new one in the comments and an admin will make the replacement |
◊ 2013-09-07 19:44 |
Doing just that right this moment. Thanks for being patient, everyone. |

Domo arigato, Q-Ball My comments at Internet Movie Light Bulb Database. |
◊ 2013-09-12 02:04 |
They are different from the American Yankee-Dietz because the inner two bulbs are rigged to flash concurrently rather than alternatively. They also replaced the double-lense rotators with a single-bulb, mirrored, "Double-cone", which run on electric motors rather than the outdated chain drive system of the US models. |
◊ 2013-09-12 02:35 |
Again, many thanks, Q-Ball I made additional comments at the same comments box. |

@police car fan - What's going on with the episode numbers? |
◊ 2018-10-08 16:43 |
@night cub, I found several episodes on YouTube. I could figure out from which season they are, but unfortunately not from which episode they are. |
◊ 2018-10-09 19:09 |
Ok, but if any other member could help out with the numbers, it would be appreciated. |
