Images from trailer only: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YadOlYY_3ko This film is a drama/mystery/thriller that's supposed to take place in Damascus, Syria but was really filmed in South Africa. |

Here's a revealing mistake rjluna2 will probably find interesting, South African traffic lights are seen here in the film: but traffic lights in Damascus really look like this: |

Good detective work, karoomay My comments at Traffic Lights in Internet Movie Car Database. |

Well, for someone who had lived in Damascus for over 15 years, it's easy for me to spot mistakes like this. There were many more I saw in the trailer, but would end up being a long list if I wrote down every inaccuracy. |

@karoomay: I can see one of the real Damascus taxis in your traffic light photo is a Dacia Solenza, but I can't recognise the other one. P.S. IZh 2126? http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Izh_2126_2.jpg -- Last edit: 2013-02-10 02:26:32 |

Yes, I believe that's what the taxi hatchback is. Till now, I wasn't entirely sure what they were, but I figured it was something Russian. |

@karoomay: There's another trailer with a few more vehicles and some more stock shots of Damascus. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJ3BnJ-4uyk P.S. If you hunt on YT, ahem, you can find the whole movie. -- Last edit: 2013-03-24 20:35:17 |

Added full movie in HD. For some reason the trailer was in the more widescreen 2.35 ratio, but the full version I have is in 1.85 format. -- Last edit: 2013-05-03 01:09:01 |

van only seen from inside: Actual images of Damascus from stock footage Overall, it was a dull and mediocre film. There wasn't much action unlike what the trailer suggested and many of the South African locations they used in place of Damascus were unconvincing. As well as Arabic heard spoken that was not in Syrian accent and many extras in the background who did not look very Syrian. |
