11'45" minute film from 1924, part of the "Wonderful London" series produced by Graham Wilcox Films and directed by Harry B Parkinson & Frank Miller. Released in 2012 on a BFI dvd with 11 more of these films (apparently there were 20+ altogether). It's the first of the 6 extras on the DVD, and the first which hasn't been sepia-tinted and looks as if unrestored or less restored than the main six. End frames have this list .. with minor grammar error and slightly puzzling jump in numbers. Can be seen on youtube and on BFI site. Slightly odd film - nothing of imcdb interest in first 6 minutes as it visits various locations with actors dressed as Dickens character, then becomes a surreal fantasy as all the characters meet up and go for a bus-ride. Stray bus picture at 07-41 .... showing Redline logo. Not enough else visible to deserve page. -- Last edit: 2016-01-28 03:01:08 |

Redline (A E Brickwood) was acquired by LPTB in December 1933. http://www.countrybus.org/ The bus is probably a Thornycroft https://www.flickr.com/photos/116071498@N08/17039118841/in/photostream/ |

.... in that case I'll give it a page as we don't have any Thornycroft double-deckers and I can post a few shots with visible detail in case we ever find another. |
