Early in the film there's mistake concerning the limo. A know-it-all girl is wowing with her presidential trivia by telling that the limo is an 18 tonne armoured Cadillac CTS. The car shown however looks like a modified DTS like it should. For a very heavy vehicle powered by truck diesel it is impossibly nimble and grippy on grass. -- Last edit: 2013-10-26 23:21:36 |

Of the two White House pictures, IMHO I preferred White House Down more than Olympus Has Fallen. Both have similar cliches, but WHD at least recognized how ridiculous the premise was and ran with it, compared to Olympus Has Fallen's overwrought drama. Pretty much the entire movie (including the exterior shots of the crowds and the White House fence) was shot on soundstages. There was second unit filming in Washington DC to get footage of vehicles driving near the landmarks. The only major exterior scene filmed in Montreal was the chase scene between the presidential limousine and the SUVs which was shot in Parc Maisonneuve. -- Last edit: 2013-11-04 20:06:21 |
