In today's press conference, it was confirmed that Christoph Waltz plays Bond's archenemy Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Before filming of this new Bond movie starts in two days time, unknown criminals stole five Range Rover which were prepared for the filming at Land-Rover Germany in the city of Neuss. http://www.businessinsider.com/james-bond-movie-range-rovers-stolen-2014-12 -- Last edit: 2014-12-04 13:56:15 |

Also, the Aston Martin DB10 was unveiled at the announcement, so safe to assume it will appear in the movie. |
◊ 2014-12-04 15:23 |
Someone's quick of the mark with hot news - I just read 10 minutes ago on teletext that the film name had been announced. So of course they're going to be replaced with more sodding Range Rovers and Evoques - booooring!! It would be much more fun if they rushed to the local car auction and bought up whatever came up for sale - an assortment of Nissans, Kias, Skodas, Hyundais, Ssangyongs etc and drove the pants off those instead. And that DB10 is no beauty compared to previous Astons ..... someone's dropped the ball there. |
◊ 2014-12-08 14:41 |
I`m really looking forward to this movie. Skyfall was very good in my opinion, and it`s good news that Sam Mendes will direct this one as well. |
◊ 2014-12-08 14:46 |
At first I was a bit shocked by the Aston`s design, but now I like it, as it`s different than the previous models but is elegant at the same time. In my opinion, of course. |

Some months ago someone stole 9 cars from the production, including several Range Rovers which were being prepared for an action sequence. Some time later, North Korean hackers stole an early version of the script and posted it on the Internet. Then they had to delay the shooting of some scenes in London due to New Year celebrations in the city. And yesterday it was announced that Rome`s authorities denied them the permission to shoot some parts of a car chase near historical buildings, so they will have to redesign the scene, and Daniel Craig was injured during filming, too... -- Last edit: 2015-02-10 19:47:49 |

Actually I don't seeing things like Kias and Hyundais as product placement in movies (but then I'm not a fan of stuff like that anyway). For example in Premium Rush, the villain, who is an NYPD Detective, drives a Mazda. It just looks out of place and doesn't suit the character, so this makes it a more blatant piece of product placement than if he'd driven any American car. And Men in Black II with the Mercedes E-Class, when all the other MIB cars are Ford LTD Crown Vics. Those sticking out rear wheels on the Aston look a bit funny, but I'm sure there'll be a reason for them. That car probably does 200mph. It's like some people complained about the way the Ferrari Enzo looked, not seeming to realise the aim was to make it extremely fast rather than beautiful. I say be thankful the current gritty, down-to-Earth Bond, stripped of most of the out-of-this-world gadgetry, still drives an Aston Martin. The DB10 is actually a bespoke car made specially for the film, rather than the replacement for the DB9. The company website Link to "www.astonmartin.com" says they're going to make 10 of them, but I wonder if those are all going to be for the film (and most of them will get wrecked) -- Last edit: 2015-02-11 18:09:09 |

Isn't that the kind of thing Top Gear does? |
◊ 2015-02-11 18:47 |
Real bad luck that - must be impossible to predict when New Year celebrations will happen ..... |
◊ 2015-02-11 18:55 |
What's wrong with doing both - fast and beautiful? Good. Seems an appropriate solution in the circumstances. |
◊ 2015-02-11 18:56 |
Perhaps that's not easy to design. Formula 1 cars aren't beautiful. |

I also saw photos of a Ferrari 458 Spider and an Aston Martin Vantage. This scene, filmed in England will likely be the beggining of the Aston DB10-Jaguar C-X75 chase in the streets of Rome, which I think will begin filming today. |

Usual british yellow press style. In Italy buddhism isn't even recognized as religion by the State... |
◊ 2015-02-19 21:13 |
Maybe the picture editor was too dim to know the difference between Buddhist monks and Catholic monks. I'm being serious here. On Channel 4 News two days ago there was an interview with Peter Oborne about his resignation from the Daily Telegraph. They illustrated it with a photo of the Daily Telegraph building in Napier, New Zealand -- which is what most of the photos show if you do an image search on Google for "daily telegraph building". -- Last edit: 2015-02-20 01:02:13 |

Fortunately for the paper, person responsible for the Bond article, didn't type in Google "monk" in singular (most of pics show detective Monk). -- Last edit: 2018-06-14 19:45:22 |

The SPECTRE set in Rome (funeral scene) has a high number of [W222] S-Class sedans, so it might have a role in the movie, as it can be seen following Bond's Aston Martin in a driving scene. Maybe this Italian police bike is also included? Some background cars from another scene with the Aston Martin: Nissan Micra: Volkswagen Golf Variant: Volkswagen Jetta: unknown Mercedes: Citroen Berlingo: Lancia Ypsilon & Volkswagen Golf V GTI: Citroen DS3: The car chase between the Aston and the Jag will also feature some narrow roads with many parked cars, including a Volkswagen Touran, Audi A6 Avant, Volvo V70, etc., but they might not all be visible in the movie. -- Last edit: 2015-02-27 12:57:53 |

Poor 166. Very interesting the BMW parked outside dedicated spaces almost on the crosswalk, the fading road markings, the potholed asphalt, cars and scooters everywhere, so much Italy in so few images. Plus, an American van in the 2nd thumbnail (they even brought vans from US to carry filming equipment???) Truly nice the Carabinieri Evora S, the perfect car to bring hot pizzas at the barrack. I wouldn't get my hopes up, because they're using out of date Italian plates. |
◊ 2015-03-04 18:15 |
In some previous pictures here, you can see the grey van again and a black Mercedes Benz (W164?) with a US-sized plate used for filming. Evidently was more cheaper to bring cars (and equipment too, maybe also the stuntmen) from the United States... The badly faked Italian plates are quite laughable too. |

Hi all, excuse being new, I've been viewing the site for ages but thought I'd share. In Q's lab in the trailer, do I see a Silver Birch DB5 in the background? Also seems to be another new Aston (Rapide from the lights?) and wondered if anyone else had seen them? |

I had seen the Rapide, didn't notice the DB5 until you pointed it out. I was about to add it, but it's probably better to wait for a less blurry picture in another trailer or in the movie. I don't know, sometimes submitting rules can be very complicated. Welcome to the site, by the way! |

Also a few scooters in this movie, of course. Right after Q says "Oh shit," you can see one turning left in the aerial view, then there are some that the Jaguar knocks over and when Bond takes off the roof of what I believe was an Alfa 159, you can see an Aprilia Scarabeo like this: /vehicle_595606-Aprilia-Scarabeo.html the only scooter I was able to identify. Definitely worth mentioning is the Porsche 959 in the Spectre HQ parking lot as well as the DBS from Casino Royale in the MI6 HQ. Also a Peugeot 106 near the end, a 406 after the helicopter crash and a 107 at the very end. The DB5 appears in a 2-3 star-role. -- Last edit: 2015-11-06 23:56:25 |
