![]() Directed by one Fergus McDonell, a rather bad and cliché-ed suspense un-thrilling thriller. With Howard Keel, and ![]() James Donald and Valerie Hobson (a couple that, even when reconcilied in the end, never touch each other). Petit "thriller" britannique bourré de clichés, ennuyeux malgré Valerie Hobson. "Made at The Alliance Studios, Riverside." |

Valerie Hobson? Her husband became "famous" due to this: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affaire_Profumo . |

Yeah, cl82, I remember. (Not the Profumo scandal, I'm not old enough, but finding out that poor Valerie was linked, in the oddest way, to this affair.) Her memory deserves better. But neither the scandal nor this movie would help. Anyway, for me and while I'm still alive, she will for ever and for the best be associated to Kind Hearts and Coronets, where she was, with luscious Joan Greenwood, the lead female part of this great black comedy, and to this smashing French movie, Monsieur Ripois, a masterpiece if there is any. |
