One more for IMPDb: Background shot, but a rare one: Beechcraft AT-10. Very few were surplused and even fewer survived due to their plywood construction; this may be the one that ended up with Planes of Fame and appeared in the movie Where Love Has Gone before being scrapped in the late '60s. Thumbnails 3-5, meanwhile, are of Beechcraft AT-11, AAF serial 41-27668. Per Geoff Goodall's Beech 18 production list, it was sold surplus and registered NC66647 to California Aircraft Corp, Van Nuys CA. In 1965 it was exported to Brazil and registered PT-ANS. At last report it was damaged in a landing accident 10 October 1972; no further info. |
