directed by one Irving Rapper, written by Horace McCoy though wikipedia talks of a reshuffling of A. J. Cronin's based King Vidor's The Citadel (I don't remember this movie I must have seen on TV when I was a kid, I can't compare).

This one, with Charlton 'Wooden' Heston and Lizabeth 'Nose job?' Scott —plus Dianne Foster as the sexy but principled nurse— is a bloodless and gutless bore, level with the most average soap opera.
