 Why is the title in English, by the way? There's more Germany in it than South Africa, and I doubt that anyone outside of German-speaking countries (still) knows these three kids.

 It's the original title, as the movie was made for international release (see Jupiter vs. Justus) and probably isn't particularly aimed at all the generations of people who grew up listening to these investigators with the voices of Rohrbeck/ Wawrczeck/ Fröhlich (DOX COX PIX EX REX BOX ;)). Over here it's a (controversial) part of the entire ???-universe, because radio play is pretty much a German thing, but everywhere else it works fine as a single movie (+ sequel).
