This film actually reminds me the 1/72th Airfix kit "Refuelling set" I'have had when I was kid This film is very interesting for all the vehicles and airplanes acting in it, and seems very accurate on all the details, without any anachronism... just some airbattles are actually using model airplanes, alterning with real airplanes scenes and historical footages. Nice shots of airplanes, dedicated to all the fans (Alex..etc..) The radial-engined biplane that Bader crashed was a Bristol Bulldog, as is the 'un-crashed' trainer shown here (the crashed one was probably made for movie, even in 1956 nobody was likely to wreck a Bulldog for a movie). Jean-Marc, you're right about the Avro 504, but your 'light bomber' looks a lot like a Me110 to me ... like you, I'm impressed by the authenticity of this movie. |
