Main office was torn down as seen in above thumbs was apparently torn down in 1991 after being condemned: http://archives.kimitsu.jp/browse.aspx?CNo=14019

Ironically the old main office that said structure replaced is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site: https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1484

I do not understand that in a time as current as 1989 it was allowed to demolish such a historic building...

The link I posted states that the building was practically falling apart and financially/practically unfeasible to renovate :(
