Would you believe, this movie was BANNED in Finland until 1986. |

For what reason? Surreptitious advertising? |

"Harming the foreign affairs", thst meaning: making fun of Soviets. Biggest reason is sayed to be the scene, where Russians are drinking and celebrating so hard, that the photo of Khrushchev falls down and reveals the potret of Stalin under it. That was the Finlandisierung, as Germans called it. -- Last edit: 2006-09-19 18:25:35 |

J'ai ajouté trois ou quatre images, mais c'est surtout celle du bus que je trouve sympa. |

@sixcyl: very good, made by Billy Wilder. The scenes at the Brandenburger Tor were made a few days before the Berlin Wall was built. The film-team was taken by surprise of the 13.August 1961. After that day, the missing outdoor-scenes were made in the studio. @Bean Bandit: the film wasn't shown in Western Germany for several years - the people didn't want to lough about the East-West-conflict, especially not in the early 60ies. In the GDR naturally the film was forbidden until 1990. -- Last edit: 2007-05-20 23:40:02 |

a LOUD farce signed Billy Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond, with LOUD James Cagney, Horst Buchholz, Pamela Tiffin, Arlene Francis, Liselotte Pulver and excellent Hanns Lothar. There are many other cars and trucks, for instance this tank-truck here, For rjluna2, traffic light in Berlin (with a Büssing on the left?) And for IMPDb.org warriors, Pan Am N5527C arriving at Tempelhof with our heros reaching the Zentralflughafen (while a Kleinbus is passing by). |
