I get the feeling the film's "second unit" photographers set up on a freeway, on the first day of a holiday weekend (Memorial Day? Fourth of July?). There are an awful lot of station wagons in that footage. |

Did anyone notice that the interior scenes when the family is riding in the car were shot in a 1960 Mercury Montclair Cruiser 4-door hardtop? It makes sense as the '60 is a much more spacious car than a '62 Monterey Custom 4-door hardtop. |
