The two US syndication titles, when the sponsor was forgotten:![]() ![]() TV series released through two seasons, from 10th of October 1963 to 1st of July, 1965 in the USA. Independant episodes, with actors galore, some yet or soon-to-be famous, and a bunch of director of the same metal. It was broadcast in France (Haute tension) in 1969-70, and I remembered episode 2.06 I had seen when I was a kid and which had much impressed me… so I looked for it here first, then seeing its absence, on youtube where I found it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJ6uXonKS_A (I should have kept it known of my childhood memory only, glowing of nostalgia…) This episode is 2.06, "The Jack is High" ![]() (first broadcast 19th Nov. 64) and a trailer truck Ford is over-important to the point of getting ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() But I left aside any and all ![]() I may add two other episodes, 1.03 and 1.06, one of these days. -- Last edit: 2015-04-28 03:01:10 |

The soapish (with a criminal zest) episode #1.06, 'One Step Down'![]() (with Gena Rowlands, Leslie Nielsen and Ida Lupino!) is added, with its nine ![]() ![]() It aired on 14 Nov. 1963. And it's the last for me until further notice. Feel free to up-load the others, this series is not devoided of interest and seems to be quite complete on Youtube. |

^The right wrecked car is a 1964 Ford Custom (or Custom 500) two-door sedan; the left is a 1962 Mercury Meteor Custom. |

Actually, Timothy (bonjour !), I could have open a page for each of them, for they are somehow remote ![]() ![]() |

The '62 Meteor is actually relatively rare if you were so inclined. And it took me a lot of searching to figure out what it was. ![]() |

So, Tim, you must be rewarded. I'm gonna take a look back to the episode and find a good view, if possible. |

Original title (from a B&W print):![]() This is from Ep. 1.21, "Once Upon a Savage Night", produced and directed by Robert Altman. It was shot in a longer (81-minute) version, released (on TV at least) as Nightmare In Chicago. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be available other than in a B&W print of the shorter version on YouTube; too bad because there are a lot of cars in it and it was shot on location in and around the Chicago area - mostly on the tollways. -- Last edit: 2015-06-14 13:12:54 |
