anyone noticed how flawed the final act was? there were LESS german guards than dirty dozen if you count them , for a supposed "heavy fortified" complex totally unrealistic, in real there would have been checkpoint after checkpoint for a such a high value target and sandbags and machine gun nests -- Last edit: 2017-12-18 13:47:39 |

There were tons of guards - it's just almost all of them were in a barracks adjacent to the chateau. And they came cooperatively pouring out into the heroes' machine gun fire, every one of them. The amount of sentries, however, was low; two at the checkpoint and one guy doing rounds. |

^ 2 old dudes at checkpoint, one doing the rounds , 2-3 in chateau near the entrance and magically a few snipers showed up out of think air to shoot some of the dozens , if you count them still less than the actual dirty dozen really really flawed security for such an important target .... having real troops nearby is rather pointless if you send a suicide paratroopers in such a mission they will achieve their aim before reinforcements arrive what the movie also didn't show how the heck did the survivors get back in Britain as there would be a full scale alarm and search for them and the drive a slow halftrack !!!!! -- Last edit: 2018-08-29 12:39:05 |
