These cars are from the 1976 Formula One season. Some of the chassis designations changed during the season as cars were updated so it depends which race these pics were shot at. I am guessing it is the US GP at Watkins Glen held late in the season. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976_Formula_One_season -- Last edit: 2008-06-26 09:59:03 |

Edited: I got these pictures from promo videos of this movie. Some pictures are from Spanish Grand Prix at the Jarama Circuit (near Madrid). Until 1981 Spain's GP was in Jarama Circuit and was its last winner Gilles Villeneuve with Ferrari. This race was the second closest finish ever of a F1 race, only 1 second and 24'' between first and fifth. -- Last edit: 2010-02-08 18:48:07 |

Here is a link to the results of that 1976 Spanish GP. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976_Spanish_Grand_Prix Lauda #1 was 2nd and Reuttemann #7 was 4th - the only ones of these to score points. If the other thumbnails are from this same race, Stuck drove a March Ford #34, Jarier drove a Shadow Ford #17 - both retired. This was the debut race for the Tyrrell six wheeler. -- Last edit: 2008-06-27 00:21:45 |
