Now this is a good, fun, original movie. Ben Kingsley is utterly brilliant, Tea Leoni is fun and gorgeous, and Bill Pullman is a hoot.

HD upgrade done. Some of the old pics were 16:9 pan&scan and for those replacements were hardly worth the effort as the movie is in something close to 2.50:1 AR, so the HD pics were just much wider and not much taller than those.

Anyway, the movie is set in San Francisco, CA, and Buffalo, NY, but filmed almost entirely in (and around) Winnipeg, Manitoba. IMDb suggests only one day of filming took place in San Francisco. It must've been a very busy day.
