![]() ![]() ![]() "Queenie Watts, singer at the Ironbridge Tavern in East London, gets her own film portrait and so do the Tavern’s patrons and other musicians." ![]() ![]() Seems she was quite famous as singer and actress, but this is more like jazz/blues shouting while the band blows shiny things which make parpy noises. ![]() ![]() Possibly more jfs music than mine - do these names mean anything?? And there was a guest appearance by the Wurzels for ingo: ![]() ![]() But - despite the music - it was well worth watching for the portrait of Isle of Dogs undergoing radical change ![]() ![]() ![]() - very evocative footage of docks, ships, dereliction, demolition sites, ordinary people. Plus very high quality footage - pin sharp. Some hairstyles ![]() It was also a few years before anyone invented the idea of occasionally clearing pub tables of empties ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-08-18 14:47:51 |
