Not an MW but an OY. Still only one headlamp in the early sixties! -- Last edit: 2014-08-18 09:16:51 |

I think it may an OW or to be precise an OWL toowit toowoo . This was a civilian version of the OY released to essential users during the war . The rear wings and body look like standard Bedford and it has dual tyres. Could also be a conversion of course . http://ccmv.aecsouthall.co.uk/p789702474/h931e511#h931e511 -- Last edit: 2014-08-18 09:25:54 |

I didn't know about the OW, but it would make sense to make all front ends to the same standard to save time and material during war. I wonder why the OWB still used the civvy front? |

It was only the 5-tonner O-type that had the wartime 'Ministry of Supply' front end, the 1939-45 vans and civilian K-types and M-types also continued unchanged but in very limited numbers, production only being suspended at the start of the war but allowed to restart in 1941-2. -- Last edit: 2014-08-18 12:07:16 |
