Luxury Cruise Ship is Royal Caribbean Monarch of the Seas ...

Its one of three sister ships belonging to the "Luxury Sovereign Class" (Sovereign, Monarch and Majesty)
The Sovereign had a slightly different paint scheme, while the Monarch and Majesty look very much the same,
with some minor cosmetic differences.

I’ve been on the Sovereign and the Monarch, but never been on the Majesty (only seen it from afar)
I’ve also been on the Radiance of the Seas which belongs to the "Radiance Class".

You know your cruise ships as well as road cruisers ;)

The models in the last two thumbnails are Maisto 1:24 scale from the Allstars collection: a 2003 Volkswagen R32 and a 1967 Volkswagen 1600 Notchback.

On first seeing them I thought Jada, but when they panned out with the camera I saw they were a larger scale (I mainly collect 1/64th scale with the occasional 1/43rd, No room for anything bigger.!)

I watched some of the clips on youtube. I knew I recognized some of the locations in the photos above. The day they filmed the police scene the car was parked on Front St before they moved it to infront of the fudge shop on Market St.

Indeed, I heard on the radio a while back about street closings for this show.

On behalf of the UK, I'd like to apologise for this awful show.

I think I have a photo of them filming the police scene. I was coming back from the post office...I thought it was just One Tree Hill again.

Why apologize ? I don’t know about other Americans, but I’m certainly not offended by the show (except when they would close a busy street for filming :D )
Though, I’m also not interested in watching it.

I don't think that it's offensive. I just think it's completely inane and unfunny.

Perhaps in May 2007? I'm only 80% sure, but I think, it was the "Monarch of the Seas", we'd seen at our honeymoon-vacations. It passed our hotel-beach on Antigua one morning.

I didn’t take a cruise vacation that year, as I try to cruise every other year (I had planned to go back to
the Bahamas this year but had to cancel due to an unfortunate series of events. I shall try again next year.

I am very pleased with Royal Caribbean International, ever since I’ve been cruising with them. They spare
no expense on their ships (only the best will do) the ships themselves are kept clean and tidy and service is
prompt and impeccable (the crew will bend over backwards to make you happy)
I’ve had past problems with Carnival Cruise Lines (a rival of Royal Caribbean) I do not sail on any of their
cruise ships anymore.

Doesn't the Italian "Costa"-company nowadays belong to Carnival, too? My parents-in-law are getting cruise-ship-fans and in a few weeks they make the next trip (after a cruise across the Caribbean and then across the Atlantic to Southern Europe now they'll go around Australia and up to Singapore and Vietnam).

My wife and me are travelling-fans, too, but except one week on the Nile and one two-day "sniff-in"-cruise at the German North Sea-coast, we hadn't made cruises until now. But we like to go with a ship very much, but mainly to use ferry-boats (mainly to Scotland, but Scandinavia, too. I love the atmosphere on ferry-boats. :)

Perhaps one day this cruise-dream will come true: Link to "www.kreuzfahrten-pool.de" :wow:

But since we'd bought a house recently, this will stay a dream for 20 or 30 years more. :(

P.S. A very big disadvantage of making a cruise: you're getting fat (or fatter) as hell. :/

Indeed, with all the food they serve, its hard not to gain some weight. At least I run one mile every morning :D
