humungus ◊ 2025-03-02 12:01	^ What do you know, it was perfectly dreadful (I had no idea white slavery was supposed to be hilarious), but since I expected that, I wasn't annoyed. But I did keep wishing somebody like Tom Hanks was in the lead because Keanu Reeves was just plain awful and he doesn't look like the embarrassing nerd he was supposed to be. The more of his early movies I see, the more surprised I am that his career went where it did. She's more familiar to me these days as an ex-con... Incidentally, this was her second movie with Keanu Reeves. Their first was Brotherhood of Justice, a rather dire TV movie with a couple of other young upstarts whose work also left me surprised at (some of) their subsequent careers.
