4CTR135 is a 1998 LX trim. Watched the movie, this one has shown up in countless other films and TV shows around this time. -- Last edit: 2019-08-05 10:16:37 |

So, LX, no V6 badge, with a real californian plate, means a CG6 chassis code, specific to California, because of their exhausts emissions requirements. Accords with the 2.3 VTec engine sold in the other 49 states had a CG5 code. |

oh my... there is so many changes in Honda codes recently that i feel like they'll change the code depending of the gender of the ( original ) buyer... -- Last edit: 2020-10-04 06:35:05 |

It really depends on where the car was originally sold. Without a VIN we do not know if this one was brought in from another state or sold there officially. Here are 3 Cali cars with [CG6] /vehicle_525032-Honda-Accord-CG6-2000.html /vehicle_776518-Honda-Accord-CG6-2000.html /vehicle_1254655-Honda-Accord-CG6-2000.html Here are 3 Cali cars with [CG5] /vehicle_352612-Honda-Accord-CG5-1998.html /vehicle_823633-Honda-Accord-CG5-1998.html /vehicle_209000-Honda-Accord-CG5-1999.html Originally yes I agree with your assessment but by the results above unless we have a VIN it is best to place at [CG] because the car could have been sold outside Cali and then brought in after the original sale took place. |
