It has structure wheels (steel wheels with alloy look plastic covers): /vehicle_1383172-BMW-316i-E36-1997.html which I'm fairly sure were only on the 1.6 diesel with the Design trim for emissions reasons. (Other versions had alloy wheels). |

Calling a boggo Vauxhall a Grand Sport is faintly hilarious. |

They've dropped it from the face-lift models, back to being a plain old Insignia and they now don't do an estate version contrary to common sense (most sales in this sector are now estates. |

Alan Partridge's car in this series. VN17 XXO is a fake plate. Episode 3: Episode 4: I've always thought the second generation Insignia to be a good-looking car. |

I've no idea of its value... Its currently on finance, which will be cleared before sale. Just had a brand new engine fitted by a Vauxhall Main Dealer aswell, so engine has less than 100 miles on it. Chasis has 63,000k. Alan didnt look after it! Engine replacement cost just shy of £8,000. |

This is Alan's second Insignia /v513683.html ("Some even peer through the window and say, ‘Tell you what, Alan, for a 40k car, this is specced to absolute buggery.’ And I just shrug and, again, chuckle.”) His Lexus IS300 fell into the wrong hands Link to "www.reddit.com" |

I guess it wasn’t pulling on whichever site I used at the time, or I just entered the wrong plate. @vn17xxo Any more photos of the car? |

Quite a few from when I bought it just over a year ago, condition not changed much apart from the addition of a brand new engine from a main vauxhall dealer. Currently not MOT'ed as been sat on the drive for last 4 months (took 2 months to get the engine in and bought another car which is now my daily) -- Last edit: 2023-03-31 14:42:52 |

Thank you. What was the reason for the engine needing replaced? |

Was driving down the dual carriageway, Low Oil Pressure light came on, had to drive another 2 miles to get off the carriageway safely (kids in the car). By the time I pulled over, engine knocking and brake assist came on. Checked oil level and dipstick suggested was full. Vauxhall Dealer diagnosed after removing sump, that the Oil Pump Drive Chain had snapped, causing the lack of oil pressure and subsequently seizing the engine. |
