No. 2C didn't have overriders. |

Both of my 2Cs had a badge on the grille saying just that. If you were in any doubt you could open the bonnet and count the carburettors. I have just looked at a picture of my white 2C, which was SMX 41F. It did not have overriders. The chassis # was 818.101.065398 -- Last edit: 2020-07-02 19:15:05 |

For ye of little faith, my first Lancia, the one in which I nearly died. Sorry about the poor image, but it's taken from a 35mm slide and it is nearly 50 years old. For dsl, it is definitely a 2C, those carbs took up much of my time, and you can see the 2C badge just to the left of the RAC badge. -- Last edit: 2020-07-03 00:24:48 |

It was totalled? Returned it to white, probably UV degradation: |

Thank you, that’s very clever. Yes, it was totalled, it hit one of Lord Lichfield’s trees and I spent the next four weeks in hospital, and the next three months in plaster casts. |

Complete negligence on the part of Lord Lichfield, it's the mentality of the upper class. -- Last edit: 2020-07-03 01:01:41 |

^. I’m afraid it was my stupidity in driving too fast, but my old Dad used to say that the tree had jumped the wrong way. I still suffer from oedema in the leg which got so badly broken, there is still metalwork inserted all those years ago by a very accomplished surgeon, to support both the ankle and the upper and lower bones. |

And, finally, what replaced the Lancia, (1969 Ford Capri 1600XL) with my lovely girl friend at the time leaning against it. I wonder if Chicomarx could wave a magic wand over this picture, please? We have now been married for 46 years. -- Last edit: 2020-07-03 19:20:30 |

Alright, slightly more natural colour, while keeping the Capri red: -- Last edit: 2020-07-04 00:44:47 |

Thank you. Even at 73 she’s still a corker! |
