dsl ◊ 2020-10-31 20:52	We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided RILEY KESTREL 1300 Registration number: TPF 628F Body type: Saloon Colour: Brown Date of first registration: February 1968 ✗ Untaxed Tax due: 23 February 1983 Interesting find - it is a Mk2 Kestrel 1300 from plate info, but dates from the "ghost months" late 67 to early 68 when all sorts of mongrels emerged before posh version ADO16 Mk2 production was stopped and then properly relaunched in Oct 68; so this ghost interim example has strange boot trim without the heavy numberplate moulding used from Oct 68 (when according to one source, the Kestrel name was dropped and it became just Riley 1300). The really interesting find would be a Kestrel 1100 Mk2 of which maybe less than 100 were made (figures unconfirmed), most apparently being exported and only 24 being sold in UK in 68.
