1994-1996 per the CHMSL and what looks to be amber turn signals. |

We had a '93 with both of those features... |

No some 1993 Wagons/Extended Wagons had a CHMSL[/i]. Only Cargo Vans got it for 1994. Plenty of VIN examples. 1993 VIN Wagon CHMSL: Link to "poctra.com" 1993 VIN cargo no CHMSL: Link to "poctra.com" 1993 VIN Wagon CHMSL: Link to "poctra.com" 1993 VIN Wagon no CHMSL: Link to "poctra.com" 1993 VIN wagon no CHMSL: Link to "poctra.com" |

It had to have been a mid-year change. This 1993 brochure doesn't show the Aerostar having it Link to "www.ebay.com" -- Last edit: 2020-01-29 21:34:47 |

They all should have it for 1994, that was the year it became a requirement. |

Another example of a build date of 08/93 with a CHMSL: https://www.copart.com/lot/46114979/Photos looks like really late build dated Aerostars had a CHMSL. I will revert the others defaulted at 1994 back to 1993 based off this new information. @Baube you may want to update your CHMSL list now ![]() |

No, that's not how we handle mid-year changes. We list as the next full model year in these cases. |

yeah but this one was built 11/92 and has it while that one doesn't despite being built 7/93 option ? XL didn't had while XLT did ? should we call Scooby Doo and his gang to solve the mystery ? ![]() |

Maybe limited to the trim? Or maybe it depended on where it was made? It’s not clear when 1993 gained the CHMSL. I’d go with @night_cub and leave it at 1994 unless we can pull a VIN for one. |

@Terra. 3 part sites list the part number; which includes 1993. I posted on the forum in the admin section asking how to proceed. 1: https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-12692-923-200.aspx 2: Link to "store.partshighway.com" 3: Link to "parts.lakelandford.com" We don't have a clear enough '93 brochure to see if it was a dealer option, part of a package, part of a trim level, or what Baube seemed to debunk a mid-year shift as one VIN was 11/92. Either way there is evidence 1993 models in some capacity had an optional CHMSL. |
