Aren't these called the Eckhauber in Germany? so that we can use it as a default identification when we cannot find the precise model-reference. It is actually used on IMCDb but only for the older models. 1971-1992 Is the production time-line for this generation according to baumaschinenbilder. |

And this is some other links to what seems to be a lost Eckhauber's on IMCDb: • 1st gen: (1953-1971 according to baumaschinenbilder) /vehicle_681435-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_353004-Magirus-Deutz.html (+Feuerwehr) /vehicle_375418-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_372640-Magirus-Deutz.html (+Feuerwehr) /vehicle_552436-Magirus-Deutz.html (+Feuerwehr) /vehicle_804061-Magirus-Deutz.html (+Feuerwehr) /vehicle_733610-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_278468-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_620929-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_904105-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_904635-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_465649-Magirus-Deutz.html (+Feuerwehr) /vehicle_526343-Magirus-Deutz.html • 2nd gen: (1971-1992 according to baumaschinenbilder) /vehicle_115242-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_345756-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_420852-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_478177-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_479255-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_729171-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_372346-Magirus-Deutz-1977.html /vehicle_312734-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_898726-Magirus-Deutz.html /vehicle_736868-Magirus-Deutz-1976.html (This list is not 100% accurate in both models and generations) -- Last edit: 2016-05-14 20:30:38 |

I couldn't have put it better myself, Raji with addition of 'very first' 1949 Eckhauber /vehicle_812328-Magirus-Deutz-S-3500-1949.html we can classify this one here a litle more in timeline as the M is shifted to the left to make place for the i of Iveco on the right just like in 1982 Link to "nufabi.de" from 1984 onwards Magirus was omitted completely from grille the last Eckhauber and COE Tippers were promoted as "Baubullen" here -- Last edit: 2016-05-15 01:28:59 |

Good clues to be followed concerning the MY's, thanks andrepa. All we need now, is some admins-love for these IMCDb-forgotten Eckhauber's & Baulbullen's. -- Last edit: 2016-05-15 15:10:20 |

"Magirus-Deutz" lettering was moved to the left before 1982. It is placed like that already in 1/1981 brochure (and it could be moved even earlier). This year on the grille was still the Iveco Group squared badge, it was replaced during the 1982 by wider "Iveco" lettering with transparent background. This last cominbation had to be very short lived and replaced in late 1982 or 1983 by the big "Iveco" lettering placed in the centre of grille and small "Magirus" placed in the grille's corner. |
