![]() Described as Triumph's Belgian factory, assembling up to 300 cars per week. Interesting that they all have 12/50 grille but no sunroof, and no ordinary 1200 grilles seen anywhere in this sequence. So did Belgium make 12/50s without sunroofs or 1200s with 12/50 grilles??Either permutation is different from UK spec. |

Have had info from a Herald guru that these Belgian builds are full 12/50 spec apart from the sunroof. In UK these were supplied by an external contract with Weathershields of Birmingham for fitment on Herald assembly lines, but it was impractical to supply overseas plants or find alternative local sources, so they were only offered with solid roofs. |
