 Not sure about this one, but AKF/ Auto-Karosserifabrikken is very likely the company that built this ambulance.

 ^ Yes, confirmed! Elverum bodied two of these Ford Pilot ambulances in 1953/1954: "I 1953-54 ble det bygd to slike ambulanser på Ford Pilot chassis. D-636 er merket Hamar Røde Kors Hjelpekorps."
