Looks like a Duple Metsec-bodied 12-metre long Dennis Dragon from KMB. http://www.gakei.com/k3n/k3n053.jpg http://www.gakei.com/k3n/k3q.htm |

It definitely has a Duple Metsec body, so I'm inclined to agree. -- Last edit: 2007-05-11 00:22:47 |

I remember that this bus loses the up floor when it passed under a footbridge with glasses. And where is the pic of this scene, please? -- Last edit: 2008-01-13 03:31:33 |

I can safely say that this bus (buses) is a Dennis Dominator 6X2 Dragon DDA1701, body Duple Metsec W35. There were actually three buses used in the film, KMB's 3N150, 3N169 and 3N176. This resulted in an error where the bus in the show alternates between having foglights present (those yellow bulbs under the headlights) and absent between scenes. This website has a good account of the filming, and a Youtube link to the bus scene but it's all in Chinese. http://www.chinamotorbus.com/bus/jumbo/retire/3N_NewPoliceStory.php Also, the plate 9522 and name of the bus company "HMB", together with the gold livery is fake. But Matsunichi is a real company. Film companies in HK regularly make money from product placements in the form of bus ads in the film. It's thus quite rare to see a bus in standard corporate livery in a HK film. |
