It could be argued that we should change every single Audi Avant, Mercedes-Benz T, BMW Touring and so on also in that case as there's practically no regard for manufacturer-appointed wagon names here. EDIT: I see that Audi and BMW retain Avant and Touring on their Norwegian websites, but practically no-one calls them that. I think the reason VW don't call their wagons Variant in Norway is that it's almost exclusively associated with the Typ 3 / Typ 4 for some reason. -- Last edit: 2023-05-18 17:14:57 |

That's the point, I believe the official denomination should be the one on official sites/documents (and this becomes particularly difficult for example for Ford vehicles, for which the local name is reported only in official price lists). For what I see, VW always used the 'Stasjonsvogn' name https://quickbutik.imgix.net/26873y/products/6304b3f705a80.jpeg?auto=format , but as you said, not all the manufacturers follow this way to do |

Since I'm a lunatic, I've started the crusade of converting all Norwegian Golf and Passat Variants (don't think there are any Polo Variants), starting with my own contributions (I'm currently at 'M'), doin' me head in, so I have to do it in stages. EDIT: sifted through my contrib list and pretty sure I got them all (including 1 Polo). The Norwegian movies not submitted by me I'll leave to someone else to convert, unless I come across one or two myself. -- Last edit: 2023-05-19 12:52:59 |
