I've been trying for years to find out what this was. Leyland Tiger Cub or AEC Reliance, but I'm guessing. |

Incidentally this scene doesn't appear in the TV showings, so I'm guessing it's only on the DVD? |

Well done dudley, a good identification from the matching cab details. ![]() From searches with Google......"Beadle-Commer" as a manufacturer rather than Commer (engine/chassis) with a Beadle body I guess? Any more details for actual model? |

Any more details for actual model?[/quote] It's one of only two pics on Google. Found it by accident. Beadle looks like the coachbuilder as they're linked to other chassis makers, eg this AEC: http://www.sct61.org.uk/ng1491.htm SteveA will know the correct way to list ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-09-05 23:02:07 |

Beadle were a coachbuilders from Dartford that became part of the Rootes Group as were Commer. They also produced integral body/chassis buses so I think Beadle-Commer is quite possible. As you say SteveA will be able to give a more expert assessment. (Leaving the model name as unknown as there is some finalising necessary for the identification). -- Last edit: 2007-09-05 23:45:15 |
