Is the Devin #111 in front the same as /vehicle_106432-Devin.html ? Or is it another ? Anyway it should be identified as a Devin-Oldsmobile or a Devin-Chevrolet, as you can see on the link added below. From Ron Cummings: "Ak Miller used his first of five Devin bodied cars, no. 111 Devin-Chevrolet (6A 17B), and El Caballo II. (6B 8B 8C 17A) He and Jerry Unser drove these two cars even swapping cars mid-race during the film!! " http://www.tamsoldracecarsite.net/NormanMilnePhotos1.html -- Last edit: 2007-09-22 12:13:24 |

Is the white car a 1950's USAC midget racer? The list of graduates from this school of racing includes such alumni as : P Jones, A J Foyt, M Andretti...pretty impressive. Anyway, weren't most of these cars 'specials'? |

That's Bobby Unser in a Devin Special at the first Times Examiner pro race at Riverside. The race featured the classic duel between Daigh in the #5 Scarab and Hill in the #2 Ferrari 412 MI. Car in background may be the Beavis Offy special? |
