Maybe these screens are of any help to indentify the car:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

290 6cyl of 1934 ? The 2nd thumbnail would have been a better choice for the main picture, up to me ... but I respect your choice NovaPlanet ![]() |

I think it wasn't NovaPlanet who made that choice, since these thumbnails are his first (and only, so far) and very welcome attribution to this site ![]() |

You're all welcome, thanks for the response! See the forum for two new cars: http://forum.imcdb.org/forum_topic-2158-Pastorale_1943_2_new_cars.html |

The streamlined sedan you showed on the forum is an Opel Kapitän (1938-1940) and should deserve it's own page. ![]() |

And sorry... the other Mercedes-Benz deserves its own page as well, of course. I think it's a 170 S (1949+?). |

Here is another screen of the likely Mercedes-Benz 170 S.![]() -- Last edit: 2007-05-26 16:33:55 |

The car in the movie is a Mercedes-Benz 230 Cabriolet B W143, not a 290 or 320. |

Sixcyl is right! She has too short wheelbase for 1937+ Mercedes 230 Cabriolet B [W143] or her twin, late W21 230 Cabriolet B, both with 3050 mm wheelbase. ![]() More likely she's indeed 1933-1936 Mercedes 290 Cabriolet B [W18] with 2880 mm wheelbase -- Last edit: 2011-05-30 10:44:42 |
