This guy ran Bill off the road and caused him to get a right rear flat tire. |

The driver didn't look like a very nice guy. |

Considering this was used by storm chasers and having a mini lab with computers, this may be the the commercial version of the Gmc Motorhome called the "Transmode", like in "The Swarm". |

Correct. Only the recreational vehicles of this type were called GMC Motorhome, while the commercial vehicles were marketed as GMC Transmode. http://www.bdub.net/publications/1975%20Transmode/1975Transmode.htm |

Built from 1972 (1973MY) to 1977 alongside the GMC MotorHome, advertised as the ''Mobile Anything''. The correct spelling is actually 'TransMode' rather than 'Transmode'. |

TransModes were available from 1975-78, according to General Motors website (towards the bottom of the page): https://history.gmheritagecenter.com/wiki/index.php/The_GMC_MotorHome |

It was unusual in the fact that it was front-wheel drive. |

Animatronixx is partly correct. The recreational version is BUILT as a Motorhome. But they're called the GMC Palm Beach. I know as I own one... |

Autofoto01 is partly correct. Palm Beach was a 1975+ EDITION of the GMC MotorHome. I don't own one but I know. *= up-fitted by companies other than GMC, such as 'Birchaven' and 'Royale' by Jimmy Motorhomes/ Coachmen. -- Last edit: 2019-10-21 20:47:42 |

Recently rediscovered in Florida. Its been sitting. Owner wants to sell or restore then sell. Looks like they collect these GMCs based on the photos. -- Last edit: 2021-05-02 07:39:05 |

nice.. lets hope they'll restore it.. |

Judging by the interior shots above, this was probably a stripped-out Motorhome, rather than a TransMode. |

Looking at the grey painted wood used for the interior panels for the "lab" I'd say the same crew who built this also did the interiors of the RV from Jurassic Park 2 (1997) |
