Technically, it's a 1960 Cadillac, "Series 64", Eldorado Biarritz. The color is non-authentic but does resemble a much darker shade of "Champagne Gold". Mine was Siena Rose (fuchsia) with white leather trim throughout, including door panels and arm rests! Today, when you order a Cadillac with "leather" trim, you get only the seat cushions and seat back inserts in leather! Times have changed. So have prices ...UPWARDS! Welcome to 2007. |

mrcadillac, we had a 1960 Biarritz as well. Ours was white with a pretty metallic gold/tan leather interior. Loved that car!!! Too bad we traded it for a 67 Fleetwood Brougham...not nearly as special as the Biarritz. |

IMHO the 1960 "Series 64" Cadillacs (we've owned both the coupe and the convertible) are among the most stylish of any American car built in the post-WW2 era (back when "big was beautiful") and up to the first fuel crisis in the early seventies. We will never see an era like it again; more's the pity. I'm not saying that today's comparably priced cars are poor in comparison; on the contrary they are more reliable, durable and economical. But they all lack one ingredient: eye-appeal ! |

Here's Maurice's Caddy after it got wrecked it in episode 17 of season 3.
