What is Touareg 1 then? |

A Touareg built in 2008 is not yet available, not even modelyear 2008. The facelift came in November 2006 and the film premiere was on 25 July 2007. |

They advertise it as 2008, as after the film was in the cinemas and you might think "I'd like to buy one" you will be able to order next year's car, which of course is identical to this year's car, as most cars don't get an annual facelift. -- Last edit: 2007-08-21 14:59:10 |

ahight, stupid question, but did the last thumbnail you posted above (the one showing the guy leaning out of the car window) come from the movie trailer? If it did come from the trailer, then I hope the producers edited out the stunt drivers seat assembly. I can see the retrofitting on the roof of the vehicle. I hope that didn’t make it into the movie. |

yep, photos from the trailer |

It's so frantically edited, you can hardly make out it's a VW, let alone see the roll bars. |

They did the same mistake they did on the second film. Again, another baddie in a German SUV chasing Bourne then crashing it. Fine. But in both cases, not only the baddies survived (badly injured) but also the air-bag didn't deploy. Of course the air-bags will deploy if you suffer a high-speed accident for crying out loud! Damn this film sucks! |

actually, VW doesn't use romanic numerals for the second touareg. http://www.vw.com/touareg/en/us/ Official site shows that it's called "Touareg 2" just as it's read |

For the way that the number is displayed, roman or other, this can be changed. But in this case I guess that it is better to include it in model name directly (as it is included in the full name on the site) rather than using the mk field (like what we do for the Golf and others that do not include officially that number). |

You can see it on the last thumbnail ahight posted. |
