This vehicle is a 1934 MG PA not a TC, I know this because I supplied this car to the production company for the episode 'Eagle Day' on Foyles War. |

Can You explain me what is the situation about the head lights? It must be something about war equipment but I don't know exactly. Thanks Francesco |

The headlamps are covered, as required by blackout rules during the Second World War. There is a narrow slit in the cover that allows a small amount of light through. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackout_%28wartime%29 -- Last edit: 2008-06-10 17:33:51 |

The masks were supposed to make headlights invisible from overhead (to bombers, for instance) while providing enough light to drive by. In fact they were probably ineffective on both counts - certainly casualties in vehicle/pedestrian accidents increased considerably in the blackout. |
