1965?? Since 1963 the panoramic rear window had disappeared... Little wings and split grille make this a 1960 Series IIIa (or a IIIb, or a IV). |

This is a Series III B or C. Series IV is never made, does not excist. Why B or C? There is 1600 on the front door and Minx on the right side of the bonnet. Series III A has a 1500 cc engine and Minx on the front doors. Color is Powder blue and Charcole grey. -- Last edit: 2008-09-26 11:05:18 |

Welcome to the site Retsok! And thanks for your precise informations! You really know what you're talking about - I guess you're very familiar with these nice Hillmans |

Although its shown as a 'C' registration (1965) the close-up of the style of the numbers makes me think its one made up by the film studio. -- Last edit: 2008-09-26 15:02:30 |

This is a Series IIIC as introduced in August 1961 the slightly shorter double side strips of chrome were replaced by one single strip extending to the headlamp. |

Our family car was identical to this with the curvy rear wings and the 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" rear window. It was a 1600cc pushrod 1960 model, WER 785. |
