It is set in UK but actually made in Bulgaria, so it could be anything. |

The guy in the foreground seems to be holding the wheel, so it may be LHD, i agree it ould be an Opel Ascona |

Front end and door-mirror are definitely GM J-car (as Opel Ascona / Vauxhall Cavalier). The two-door sedan was available as a Vauxhall for 1 year only 1982-3 in the UK so I guess its true of the Ascona also. (It was also used as the base for the convertible). I know because I drove one a Y registered Cavalier 2-door sedan 1300cc and it was actually a good car despite being the cheapest available. If not, then it must be another J-body derivative. Anyway my guess is 2-door Ascona. |

Confirmed. In addition to the 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback the Opel Ascona C was available as a 2-door sedan. |
