What are the mods on the F150 in Walking Tall? Lift, wheels, tires, etc... ? Does anyone know a site or something? |

With that grill, it's a 1987-1988 |

Well this truck ran a twin I beam suspension and it has a 6 inch suspension lift and 35 inch tires. |

I was so upset when it blew up. Is it a 4x4? It's gotta be 'cause no one would lift a 2wd. |

Which the model of the wheels? |
◊ 2009-11-23 07:25 |
The wheels are 15 inch American Racing Outlaw (not the Outlaw II's as they have holes)wrapped with 35 inch BF Goodrich Mud Terrains. This Truck also has the Quad shock option in the front, and is at least a 1989, because of the lockout hubs. 1987 and 1988 F150's and Bronco's had what is known as a flange-type lockout hub, which has no screws on the cap, the ones on this truck have 6 screws, making it at least a 1989. I also cried when it blew up..I have an 87... |

Reminds me of my '90. Only mine isn't lifted. Still got some nice sized Mickey Thompsons on her though. Must be a lesser trim level though, either that or 'de-badged'. The XLT Lariats had plenty o' chrome with the side trim from the Ford Tempo of the time. Cool stuff, because those chrome-and-rubber side strips are real good at protecting from dings on the trail or at the store. |

I think it's black. |

It's definitely not black, more of a green-ish color. |

I have had an 83, and an 88 with quad shocks. Correct on the hubs though, the flange style were in some 87's and 88. This truck has lariat door inner door panels that are shown in the movie, but It has been pieced together as evident by the dual tank bed on a 4x4, short bed, regular cab. Dual tanks didn't come on 4x4 short bed regular cabs because the front tank wouldn't clear the transfer case. It's definately dark green. -- Last edit: 2011-03-15 05:14:47 |

I had a set of outlaws on my 78 f250, although mine measured at 16.5 8 lug. The second it rolled out of the garage I recognized them. Well since these are ollllld comments, might as well cover em all…. They very likely blew up a pretty looking bucket. (Kinda like how in the movie “Christine” the world cringed when she tboned a “gorgeous” 1st gen Camaro, It was a rotted bondo box with a pretty paint job, at one point you can even see under the new hood gap there was NO engine or transmission, Definitely a deep dark green. Kinda reminds me of the Grand Prix gt GTPs from around 2000. |

Went web digging. I saw a page talking about it with the guy who was in charge 88 cab and frame that was pieced together from surrounding years, 4 inch body lift, 35” tires on 18 inch outlaws, was basically stock otherwise funny thing two is that green was the 3rd color, director didn’t like the first two (they didn’t say what colors though) |
