Panhard, peut-être. Mais des années cinquante, là aussi! |

The scene is supposed to be in England |

I would not dismiss a French fire engine. The film was a France/UK cooperation, filmed at Studios de la Victorine - 16 avenue Edoard Grinda, Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France. Although it looks similar to a Dennis fire engine the details are not right. So perhaps a French vehicle repainted to look British if there is a similar Panhard vehicle? |

I'm sure the Bentley is in a real UK location: /vehicle_118465-Bentley-31-2-Litre-1935.html |

Agreed, but I would expect the fire scene would probably not be a normal street scene location. It could very possibly be filmed on an external studio lot in France I think. |

Or a derelict factory, perhaps. It has a rather industrial look. |

Berliet possibly? Early 1950s..... /vehicle_9430-Berliet-GLA-19-F4-1951.html |

Confirmed the headlight position compared with the door's lower edge, grill, and grab-handle on the 'A' pillar all match. Same as this example.... /vehicle_15783-Berliet-GLA-19-F4-1951.html -- Last edit: 2007-07-28 15:40:05 |
