Haha, very "british", this scene, like the whole movie.

Which British authority should have used Opels in that years? The whole brand Opel was unknown in the UK, like Vauxhall, Humber, Hillman and the english Fords in Germany.

Wasn't this kind of "showdown"-scene filmed in front of the castle Schloß Glücksburg in Flensburg? I remember, that in one of these German made Wallace-movies Schloß Glücksburg was disguised as a English castle.

Hmm, it's not Glücksburg, as I thought. It's similar, but not identical. Which castle? In every case it's in Northern Germany, North of the river Elbe. The architecture is typical.

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schloss_Ahrensburg

One very rare Polizei-Mannschaftswagen (Police personnel carrier), coachbuilt by Herbert Vidal & Co. of Hamburg-Harburg. Herbert Vidal had a brother named "Oscar" and a nephew named "Sohn" aka. Oscar Vidal & Sohn, manufacturers of the Tempo commercial vehicles.
