It is not a Daimler Conquest, but a Majestic Major |

Smooth flanks, double-section front bumper and rear wing line... Yes, I agree with Majestic Major |

This is not a Majestic Major (V8, 4.5 lire)which had a straight through wing line. It's either a 104 or a Majestic (straight 6 3.8 litre). |

It's a 104. Both the Majestic and the Majestic Major had flush-sided rear wings, and were outwardly very similar apart from the Major having a more projecting boot. |

The rare 1956-1959 Daimler 104... -- Last edit: 2008-11-10 11:34:20 |

This One-O-Four ( as it was advertised in period ) sports a different type of hubcaps that combined with this two-tone paint makes me think it's the better equipped Ladies' Model - according to "Autocar" Road Test No 1379 published on the 14th October 1955. The most common engine was a 3 1/2 Litre, but a 4 1/2 Litre unit was also available. Period literature can be found here: http://stores.ebay.com/Walter-Miller-Auto-Truck-Literature |

Great name - I hope they called the poverty version the Blokes Edition. |

Indeed a One-0-Four, and possibly, one of the 50, (some say 51) Lady's models produced. |

DF311 - presuming it is pre-select transmission. A DF310 would be right-hand drive. -- Last edit: 2020-04-30 15:01:20 |
