I have been found another puzzle in 1951-1957 Warszawa M-20 visual changes -> front indicators. Looks like 1951-1952 cars (as this one) had bigger genuine "Pobeda" lamps which looked mounted closer to headlights. Since 1953 Warszawa M-20 got new, smaller indicators. This change came in Pobeda (same time I suppose) also. ![]() -- Last edit: 2011-03-04 21:31:28 |

Indeed if we compare with the first Warszawa they seems to be smaller: http://www.republika.pl/fso_warszawa/Grafika/Historia/historia1.jpg But position was IMO the same, I see them all between 2nd and 3rd (from the top) rib of the grill... Also around 1954/55 they replaced the steering wheel, but this we rarely can see... Edit: There are also to find Pobiedas and Warszawas with bigger indicators placed a bit lower: /vehicle_13289-GAZ-M-20-Pobeda-1947.html http://eurolimuzyny.pl/pab3.jpg /vehicle_189406-GAZ-M-20-A-Pobeda-1951.html But can be not original, though somehow seems quite many exist in such such shape... -- Last edit: 2011-03-05 22:27:59 |

Yes, that's why I wrote "looked like" only because it's just illusion effect. ![]() The indicators-to-grill position is changeless indeed. |
