The van on the right. The only suggestion I can think of is a Morris? |

It is not the Morris Eight Model Z, which has a sloping sideline. Nor the older Morris Eight or the Morris-Commercial Model Y, which both have different rooflines. I think it is a Fordson Thames E494C 5cwt van. |

The 5cwt van in this picture is a Fordson 7Y 5cwt or E04C if thats the fuel tank cap that I can see above and to the left of the number plate. I think the earlier 1937 to 1939 7Y van had diferent headlamps, wiper above the windscreen and single louvre,s cut in to the rear doors above the glass the later EO4C and E494C had 3 louvre,s one above the window and two below the drivers mirror was also in a different place higher than later vans. The fuel tank is on the left side on the E494C. I had a 1946 EO4C (fuel tank at rear) till 5 years ago I now own a 1950 E494C (fuel tank at left side). |
