This example has the mid-1994, 1995+ MY, redesigned rear bumper. 1992-1994 bumper: 1995-1999 bumper: Before anyone says there wasn't 1999 MYs of the W140 there were. Here is a March of 1998 built model as a 1999 sold here in the states. If we found a March built EU model I would venture a safe bet there would be a 809 code in the RPO build sheet indicating 1999s were sold there as well. I know our 10th digit in the VIN differs from EU VIN styling but MB did not change the build sheet RPO codes based on the country ordering the vehicle.
