There is a Dacia in the backgroudn, where they common in the DDR? |

Quite common. For normal people the second exclusivest car after the Lada. In West Germany the Dacia was available, too. If you want. But noone wanted. In the GDR the Lada was the most expensive and exclusive Eastern made car, the Skoda on the thirs place. In Western Germany Skoda and Lada were the cheapest car, you could buy. The reputation of them were low as hell, lower than Talbot Simca or British Leyland. -- Last edit: 2007-08-15 19:23:17 |

Ingo, did you see the green Volkswagen K 70 in the background? |

At the first view I thought, too, it was a K 70. But it isn't one. I think, it's annother Skoda. The big hubcap and the long nose before the fronr axle are Skoda-like. -- Last edit: 2007-08-15 20:26:30 |

Yes, it is another Skoda. Btw. both of them were made between 1976 ('77 m.y.) and 1984, it is not the face lifted one from 1984, so also it isn't a '85. Not sure about the 'L' trim level, could be also 'LS'. The Dacia is 1310 from 1979. -- Last edit: 2007-08-15 20:39:05 |
