they used 2 chevelles for this movie 1 was stick other was auto on column,u can also the see auto on column as kid pulls up at home then puts in park then revs up then gets out,this is also a hard to find movie |

I used to watch this movie all the time. You can also see him put his foot down like pressing the clutch but there isn't one. I thought the car was a 69. Didn't the 68 have the double stack tail lights? |

You do realize the two cars they use in this movie are different years too. One is a 68 the other a 69. If you look closely the vent windows appear and disappear. That is telltale of the 69 because they were trying to sell AC and removed them. |

one of the Chevelles used where the lead character loses the street race had a hockey stick trim piece while another one did not - also the instrument panel closeup in one scene is from a 1970 model, not a 68. |

That has 396 CID engine fitted in, which it mean V8 engine version. So, Sport Coupe body style version and it is model number 13637. |
