It's a Mazda. I suppose there were 1000, 1200 and 1300 models and they were called Familia in Japan. |

They were just sold as "1300's" in ZA - Familia would probably be the correct model name. |

I think these rear lights came with the 1973 facelift, and then the 1200 was replaced by the 1300 S, the 1000 was then called 1000 C. |

On the right, it's a rare 1967 Reliant Scimitar Coupé. |

Vauxhall VX 4/90 behind it? I think that Reliant is early enough to be powered by the inline Zephyr engine rather than the later V6. I agree on the Mazda - the few sold in NZ were 1300s. |

Also known as Mazda Marella in Finland |

I think the side stripe is a reflection as it's not right grille and too tall. I think it's a Marina. Or possibly Corolla I'm think we had just Mazda 1000 or 1200 over on GB |

Not a Vauxhall Victor or VX 4/90 [FC], Toyota Corolla or similar for me. |

Wasn't this a Mazda 121 ?? Or is that later? |
◊ 2007-08-31 21:03 |
I'm pretty sure the 121 was later. |

If we can't identify it, maybe we could rather list the Reliant then? |

Yes, its full name is Scimitar GT SE4. The steel wheels with chrome hubcaps identify a 1967+ car: it can be a 1967 ( introduced late 1966 ) SE4a or SE4b with a 3 litre V6 engine or the rarer 1968 ( introduced late 1967 ) SE4c with a 2.5 litre engine. -- Last edit: 2007-11-24 01:16:04 |

Mazda 121 appeared in the mid 80s. The car seen here was called in Japan "Familia Presto". 1000 or 1300 in most European countries (ok: Marella in Finland)and in 1977 was deleted at the laungh of the very first Mazda 323 (Familia in Japan, GLC in the U.S.). About the other car I agree: it looks to me a Corolla and not a Vauxhall ! -- Last edit: 2010-03-20 22:39:17 |

There was a Mazda 121 in the 70's. IIRC it was a coupe. |

The Mazda on the left is a 1974+ Mazda 1000 C. 1300 models had an additional plastic trim between the taillights. -- Last edit: 2010-04-10 00:50:50 |
